Hello, my name is Matt Numrich, and thanks for taking a second to check out this blog. Who am I? That is what I wanted to answer in this section, and now I'm finding out it is impossible to answer in this little segment, just like it would be impossible to write out who you are in a quick little introduction like this.
Because my life is made up of experiences, stories and lessons surrounding those three words, these blog entries can do a better job of answering the "Who am I?" question. I've been blessed with a great life, and as much as I would like to take the credit for it, it's been a blessing because of those three words: Faith, Family and Fighting. You'll find two main types of entries here:
Dated entries which are almost a "diary" of those three areas of my life, were
usually wrote on a Monday, relating to the previous week. You'll see there is about a one month lag time from when I wrote these dated entries and the actual date. There is this lag because of the proofing/posting of the entry (although I'm sure you'll still find mistakes), and more importantly because I did want to space sometime from actual events to have a little privacy of exactly what is going on with those around me and affecting others (although some real names are obviously withheld).
Secondly, there are entries which mainly center around the biggest area of my life, faith. In short, these are what I have learned from others, or what I feel God is really teaching me through pain or triumphs… mostly pain.
Just as I could learn tons off of your life, I'm guessing you can learn off of mine. As the saying goes, "A smart man learns off of his own mistakes, but a wise man learns off of the mistakes of others". That is what this blog hopes to accomplish. By writing down what I've experienced, I hope to learn off of my own mistakes… and there has been plenty. However, I also hope that you can take one or more of my mess ups and hurdle over the pitfalls I was too blind, busy or even prideful to see.
